Angel CVC Word Builder

Make phonics practice a little more magical with our Angel CVC Word Builder! Designed to support early readers as they blend, segment and build simple CVC words through hands-on play.

Each angel is made up of three parts:

• Left wing – initial sound
• Angel body – middle sound
• Right wing – final sound

Children can mix and match the pieces to build CVC words, encouraging sound recognition, phonemic awareness and blending individual phonemes.

• 10 picture stars – each featuring a different CVC picture
• 20 letter wings – used to build the beginning and ending sounds for 10 CVC words
• 5 angel bodies – featuring the vowels a, e, i, o, u

Children can match the picture, identify the sounds and build each CVC word by combining the wings + vowel angel body for a fun, hands-on phonics activity.

The add-on includes 10 additional picture pieces and 10 additional sets of wings featuring digraph words, giving children the opportunity to extend their phonics learning and practise recognising digraphs in words.

If you select the Digraph Add-On, you’ll also receive an additional reference card featuring the included digraph words, making it easy to introduce and extend learning from CVC words to digraphs.
